First Things First!

Thanks to Shellene for her expertise!
Love the above!
You know, that time of year has come around again, you know the one.  Some people say it's a tougher month than December, what with
Mother's Day
end of the year school projects, finals, award assemblies, the heat(oh the heat!) Graduation and in our case a
  Wedding (12 days)
there just doesn't seem to be any down time(you can tell there is no down time because we are behind on "House").
Well, now that Madison is finished with Seussical the Musical, has bowled her last frame(for her P.E. credit)been
Oriented @ ASU - Go Sun Devils!
and tonight received the award for outstanding student in
Theater ARTS!!!
We can now sail through to Graduation.
 Congrats Madison!
You have been a joy to raise and you will make a difference where ever you go.  We love you and wish you all the best.
Go Graduates of '09 -
 Carry ON!

Makin' Headway!

So, I don't know who copy-catted who(Glenna) but I, like many of you made a goal to finish 9 quilts in 2009. It was one of the nine things I wanted to accomplish this year. Did I share those things.... uh ...well no. Why, you ask? Well, say you are doing fine on some of them and not so fine on others well you do the math. Here, I am sharing one good thing that is getting accomplished and it's only Feb. 25th.! Woo Hoo! Number One -
The above is called Cookies From Home Double - Nine Patch and you could win it @ the MHS Choir - Spaghetti Dinner/Raffle - this Thurs. Feb 26th see Peg for Tickets.Number Two -
A Very "Mary" Sampler - finally finished after our Harmony Park Block of the Month season. Number Three "Stringing You Along" has been in the works for years. I have to name my quilts, so pardon me if the names worry you. Just get out more, give service, eat some chocolate, you'll be O.K. All 9 quilts are in the Queue. You know a list, an order to be accomplished, etc. I have 6 more that are in various stages of completion and those are the 9 that will be finished by Month 9 of 2009 or my name ain't Peg! I will fill you in as they get finished. Sh....don't tell... One more is off to Gail to be quilted as we speak. I'm really making headway.

Living the life..... blog wise...

Vicariously that is. I promised myself I would blog more often. Didn't happen, but some of my people did. I said I would document Christmas, you know, make and send cards , write a newsletter etc. Not yet. But there were some who did. Thought I would update you on the family happenings. Nope. But.... there were others with updates. Welcome to my goofy life. I mean you are welcome to it. Just a little list of what we have been up to: Parker making lots of teeth and videos, Catching up on House, Lost, and now Chuck. Believe that. Me: Making Quilts, planning music for upcoming Conference, planning a Spaghetti Dinner fundraiser, hosting a Super bowl bash complete with 3D glasses(get 'em before they run out)!, auditions for Charlie Brown(what, again?), trying to think up an original Sweetheart Dinner, running after Madison and her 50 things a day(don't miss Cash on Delivery), keeping up with a whirlwind romance with that one girl of ours and staying in touch with the one's who no longer live under our roof. So, when you catch a glimpse what some of my offspring are up to, just know that somewhere close by there is a mom hanging on for dear life..... and smiling. Happy February(why is it spelled that way?) It could be March before you hear from me again. Eh, Oh well! Pictures later dude!

We are In L.O.V.E.

Apparently, The Female Parental Unit @ this abode must have red to survive.
It was replaced to some degree by Valentine's Day -
AKA Red and White to the Max., which we celebrate to an obnoxious degree. Just you wait for the update on Sweetheart Dinner, an annual Family Celebration of Love and Nonsense that is not to be missed whenever possible. (this was last year's Chinese New Year Theme)
Meanwhile please enjoy a little change of scenery @ the Moffat Casa and some music to go with
it! Scroll down to the very bottom to hear some of our faves 'o Love. We Heart You....... p.s. Sorry it's taken me so long to get a new post up and running. We had a great Christmas (home-made style)and are in denial about the New Year and it's resolutions.

Point Of Origin

Annual Pilgrimage So, Parker and I took the little window we had and trekked over to L.A. to celebrate our Anniversary. We do this because we were married in the L.A. Temple some 34(wow that's a lot!)years ago and we try to revisit that lovely spot whenever we can on our Anniversary. We were blessed to get to see Rob's current show, "All Night Strut" which was very entertaining and fun. We got to stop by the Point of Origin of the Moffat Family, AKA the L.A. Temple which was under seige by the protesters of the passage of prop 8. then we hurried home to Madison's Closing night performance of "Cash on Delivery" (Side brag - "Cash on Delivery" Took State! - She will be performing @ the State Thespian Conference for over 2,000 of her peers on the 22nd of Nov. Woo Hoo!) So don't you love it when two pictures are side by side and you have to guess what is different . Well look at the two photos above and see if you can identify any changes. What? You don't see any changes? Well I don't either. We've come a long way baby! Happy Anniversay to the Hamblins and Raines on Nov. 7th Also! Good Day for a Wedding I might say.
