Happy Thoughts / Grim Realizations...

So, I received this darling countdown decoration today!
I'm in love with it and encouraged to get Christmas up and start enjoying it early this year.
Now the rub... it is exactly 32 days to the big event. Now how do you feel?
Admit it, you are probably a little (if not alot) freaked out just to have that visually and
emotionally stamped on your virtual forehead!
Feel free to comment on what sentiment each of our Moffat Men might have wearing last year's Sleeping Kilts
Now, go ahead.. enjoy the smell of your Turkey roasting, pumpkin pie-ing, and
stuffing - well stuffing, and don't worry another minute about that number 32
('cause by then {you know, Thurs ... Turkey Day} it will only be 28).
Blast from the past. Enjoy!
Oh and by the way. I love the red and white reminder/motivation, thanks!

Self Starter?????

I have ideas, uh ... yea lots. I can totally think up stuff to do. It might be a curse.
I tend to think up stuff for other people to do as well.
R.S. Meeting Last Sat.
Small Problem though....
Finishing.
I wish to be a self finisher.
I'm working on it. Yea like today. Like I'm not really blogging about this am I? Hmm, might be a part of the problem.
We have a saying, me and our youngest, "I can self distract in 10,9,8,7,6,...Oh look a chicken!"
I am happy to say that some minor headway is being made and
I am just taking this opportunity to get a drink(what Like @ Sonic?),
blog stalk a minute(cute little Elliott!) and throw this little
insight out there.
I will finish these... 11 (count them) very soon,
don't you worry about it.
And those are just the ones I counted.
I need a "finish your project" cheer and a cheer leader.
Maybe if I just walk away from the computer........ nah, I'm no quitter!
In order: Pinwheel/4 patch,Gobble gobble,
thimbleberries pinwheel, pastel pinwheel(do I really need two of these?)
asian(do I really need 1 of these), Mod Sampler, New Years Day Mystery, I spy,
mystery runner(like two years ago), baby ragtime, Parker's ice cream quilt( all cut out).

Holy Cow! 35.... Whoop whoop!

Where did the time go?
Thought I should post since Parker and I went AWOL this weekend and for darned good reason too!
Saturday was the 35th anniversary of our marriage,
and, well, Holy Cow... that's all I'm saying.
Not really all I'm saying, since apparently I'm still talking,
but what can you say when after 35 years
you still like each other and still want to tell each other everything
and still want to make each other laugh?
Font sizeFont size
(Side note, either Parker is funnier now or I have learned to be a better audience,
because he totally cracks me up lately)
We spent our weekend(instead of the cruise we should have taken)
doing fun things to remember 1974 (like The impeachment of Richard Nixon)
and what we were like then, you know no kids, worries, jobs, houses, church callings etc.
And did you know that the gifts for 35 years are coral or jade.
Hmmmm. Not cute! We opted out of that, thanks.
So, the evaluation,
Yes!
we would do it again,
that get married thing, have kids, then grandkids(which might be the most fun part)
and love each other and life more now than ever.
We usually try to go somewhere for our Anniversary, But not this time, so here are some blasts from past anniversaries.
Enjoy!
Just threw that last one in to see if you were paying attention!
Thanks to all our family and friends who have blessed us and brought us joy along the road!

Oh BABY!

If a picture is worth a thousand words.... this tells a great story. This picture was taken the first day
Lil Parker
was home. The big sisters are doing a great job welcoming him home! I'm so proud of these two little darlings for being such good helpers. Sorry it has taken me so long to post this, but holy cow is this
little baby boy
darling! So far everyone who has met him is in love, from Mom Loretta and Dad Rich to Jacie and Cameron, to Grandma, neighbors, & ward members. His fan club is growing. Little
Jonathan Parker Moffat
(the Jonathan is silent) came on October 28th and weighed 8 lbs 11 oz., lots of hair and all his systems seem to be working - some of them even better than expected!
So fun to get to see the girls and Dad at play. I got to be at the
RPM III
Casa for the birth and a few days after. Loved every minute.
Newborn shot, so sweet.
The day I came home - what a mellow,
peaceful, baby.
I expect this little man will bring a ton of joy to Rich and Loretta's family. Love him already,
Heart, Grandma
